Sand and gravel
Gennadi beach is located along the east cost of Rhodes, about 63 kilometers from the island’s capital, along the eastern coast a 10-minute drive from Katavia, the last village of Rhodes. It is probably the main coastline in the south of Rhodes and it is several kilometers long, since it extends from Gennadi to Prasonissi.
It is composed almost of sand and gravel, and it is equipped and organized only in some sections. The beach of Gennadi is very popular especially by young people, because in the free areas are often organized parties, bonfires or events animated by DJs from all over the world.
Also noteworthy is the cafeteria, one of the most characteristic of the island. Gennadi is an ideal holiday destination especially for those seeking peace and tranquility.
The village of Gennadi is located behind the coast, it is a former fishing village between the sea and the mountains, that in recent years has become a real touristic place, with numerous holiday homes, hotels, small pensions, taverns and resorts, especially on the seafront road.
