Faliraki on the island of Rhodes
Not so far from the city of Rhodes, directly by the sea, there is Faliraki, one of the largest centres of entertainment and nightlife in the Dodecanese islands. The distance between this town and the capital city is very small: only fifteen kilometres, easily accessible thanks to the bus service that connects the two towns with a ride every half hour (the main stops in Rhodes are at the airport and at the bus station).
Faliraki is known above all for the presence of many night clubs, from the most common bars to the wildest discos, passing through British pubs and more traditional places. Woe then to go to sleep early, if you are spending your holidays in this place: life starts in fact only from late evening onwards!
But this lively centre of the island of Rhodes does not deserve a visit just for its sparkling nightlife: the beach of Faliraki is in fact among the best of all Greece and offers many possibilities to its visitors: from a simple bath or a relaxing nap, up to the possibility of practising the most extreme and adventurous sports. It is therefore worth staying here during the day also, in order to stop for lunch in one of the many restaurants, traditional and not, scattered along the coast (there are more than fifty!).
For the little ones, but not only, Faliraki offers also a giant water park, even the largest in Europe, easily accessible in summer thanks to a shuttle bus that leaves from Mandraki port in Rhodes. In addition to these numerous sources of entertainment you can enrich your holidays in this remarkable place in Greece, taking advantage of the closeness of Faliraki to many places of historical and archaeological interest, such as the fortress of Erimokastro or the site of Sarantapichos.
